Our 2005 SCRA Sailboard Racing Season started off with good winds and top competition.
PWA star Devon Boulon and one of San Francisco's top sailors, Mike Percey joined us for some exciting racing.
A welcome series of storms across San Diego brought good consistent winds ranging from low to high teens. 4 Races were held using a Rabbit Start followed by a short windward, a 1/2 mile leeward, and then a 1/2 mile windward to the finish.
Devon wasted little time showing why he is one of the best Formula sailors in the world, taking 3 firsts and a second. New SCRA member Peter Bonello was the only one able to crack Devon, edging him out for 1st in the 2nd race. Good job Peter!
Our next regatta will be 2/13 at Bahia Point.
