With another storm moving in we decided to hold the Regatta Sunday morning. Good thing as Saturday was pretty calm. Sure enough, the storm rolled in Sunday with winds of 20+.
Since we are neither prepared nor equipped for Formula Racing in high winds, we broke out the Slalom gear and held 6 "Figure 8" races before noon.
Gabor Vagi decided to set aside his kiting gear and preceded to horizon the competition with "no doubt" wins in every race.
The battle for 2nd through 5th places were close fought with only one point separating each position, and in the end, Joe Roth managed just enough consistency to hold off Lasse and impressive new racer Chuck M.
Last season’s champion, Peter Bonello placed 5th (on borrowed equipment) followed by Greg, Kelly, and Tuan.
